Summary:
These are also known as magnetic switch.

This is a small device called a reed switch. When the device is exposed to a magnetic field, the two ferrous materials inside the switch pull together and the switch closes. When the magnetic field is removed, the reeds separate and the switch opens. This makes for a great non-contact switch. This switch can carry up to 1.2A.

1. How many voltage it can take and can I use it in 240v light?
2. Is it can be operate by a normal small magnet?

You can use a Relay and this to control high voltages

I purchased some reed switches today, but those all ar NO type. Do you have NC type reeds? or if not available now, Any plan to include those?
