This one should be connected to any modem, the modem should be connected to Arduino.

this breakout board will be connected to wifi shield and wifi sheild will be connected to adruino, correct?

Hello, wifi shield has no provision for any sim. This type of sim sockets are needed to be connected to GPS or GSM modems like SIM900,SIM908C etc.
